Ezra Reed is currently an oboist in BYSO. He’s a multi instrumental homeschooler who has lived in Boston for the past 9 years. His musical journey started with Kindermusic, in South Africa, where he learned some rhythm, basic music theory and recorder. Later he joined his middle school band in Boston playing trumpet with band director Billy Bus. While in his middle school band, he was accepted into the Intensive Community Program (ICP) where he learned the fundamentals of oboe and music theory. His musical journey continues in the BYSO orchestras as an oboist.

Anna Lin is a freshman at the Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an alum of the BYSO. She still remembers going to the annual Brookline Music School petting zoo as a 4th grader and choosing the clarinet for its warm and rich tone in the lower register. One of the reasons why she joined Pro Musica Chamber Players is because it brings out the social aspect of music and gives the opportunity for young musicians to create music with others.
